Buenos Aires Zoo

Located in the neighborhood of Palermo, facing Plaza Italia, between Avenida Las Heras, Avenida Sarmiento, Avenida del Libertador and Republic of India.

Buenos Aires Zoo has an area of 18 hectares, home to 89 species of mammals, 49 species of reptiles and 175 bird species.

The entrance portico is a reproduction of the Triumphal Arch of Titus in Rome;
Palace of the Elephants is a replica of the Goddess Temple in Mumbai Nimaschi, later the Temple of Vesta, a circular building that includes 16 Corinthian columns copy of which is in Rome.

The Zoo also many works of art, like the girl with flowers, a replica of the work of the Italian Canova, Monkey fallen, Passani, and a female figure carved by sculptor Lola Mora Argentina.
