Chinatown in Belgrano

The so-called Chinatown, at the foot of the Barrancas de Belgrano, across the railroad tracks Mitre, is the most compact enclave of that culture in the city. Their businesses are grouped into Arribeños and Highlanders, the first two Libertador parallel to the side of Cabildo, and cover the Pledge Olazabal.

The neighborhood was born 15 years ago around the existing site of the Chinese Civil Association of Argentina, and since then has not stopped growing. One of the local ephemeris is the installation, 1990, the first Chinese herbal pharmacy, after which have continued to emerge restaurants, grocery stores with all kinds of Chinese, Korean and Japanese, bookstores, record stores and video stores with items in the native language, hairdressers, travel agencies and even as shoe stores and fashion houses that grow oriental style.

The phenomenon, which attracts lovers porteños rice sticks and feng shui as tourists visiting the city has changed the behavior of commercial real estate market in the area.
